A quad of Wight Eagles Academy players have travelled to the mainland to take part in FA Talent Pathway trials.
The cohort – as well as coach Scott Ronan – made the trip down to Hamworthy United Stadium in Poole, for their FA Talent Pathway trials on 28th October.
Liv Burt, Faith Rimmer, Kelsie Ronan and Ellie Warren were the first players to get given a chance to showcase their talent in front of the Football Association coaches since former player Daniela Robinson made it all the way to the second trial in Kent.
All of the girls will be hoping they have done enough to earn a place in the second trials in Kent. If they’ve got through they will get to play alongside players from professional Premier League academies and clubs from the WSL in their pursuit to become professional footballers.
Director of football, Dan Verstraeten, said:
“This really showcases our passion at Wight Eagles and allows us to push the girls to show their class in-front of the best coaches and scouts across the country.
“We are dedicated and want to reward the girls with these trials as they put so much time and effort in and are trying their best to become the next football superstar.”
