Wight Eagles Ladies FC is the only club on the Isle of Wight offering girls and women the opportunity to develop their skills and play competitive football in FA county leagues between the ages of 10 and 40+.
The history of Wight Eagles
Wight Eagles Ladies FC was established in 2019 to give girls and women a wrap-around club environment in which to play football from their “primary schooldays” to maturity. It is the only club on the Isle of Wight to offer this. Currently it has a senior team, which has just been promoted to Division 2 of the Hampshire County Women’s Football League, together with an Academy comprising teams at Under 11, Under 13 and Under 15 levels, who play in their appropriate age-related FA Hampshire County leagues. In addition, we have an U13 team in the Isle of Wight Boys League, where under FA rules boys and girls can play together.
